The HPL body of the Koa Special Dread is adorned with stunning koa-patterned HPL, combining the classic aesthetic of Martin with modern construction techniques. The neck, made from natural birch laminate and topped with a slab of composite richlite, reflects the harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary design, featuring a fast-playing High-Performance Taper profile. Although the construction of the Martin X series Koa Special Dread diverges from traditional methods, its large X-braced body provides the signature low-end richness, powerful projection, and sonic versatility that are hallmarks of a Martin Dreadnought.
