Takamine JJ325SRC John Jorgenson Signature Acoustic-electric Guitar - Gloss Red Stain
Manufacturer's Description:
In 1985 Dan Fogelberg released the groundbreaking progressive bluegrass album, “High Country Snows” and was touring with his “All-Star Bluegrass Band” featuring David Grisman, Jerry Douglas, Herb Pederson and Chris Hillman. The show I saw from that tour was amazing, but what I remember most from that night in Costa Mesa was the crystal-clean flatpicking of Dan’s relatively unknown acoustic guitarist, introduced as “local boy, John Jorgenson.” Three years later I would find myself working with Takamine Guitars. Nine years after that, John Jorgenson would become Takamine Guitar’s 3rd signature model artist with two of their coolest models ever, the JJ325SRC and JJ325SRC-12.
The Takamine JJ325SRC acoustic-electric guitar offers musicians the opportunity to explore a wide array of tones, embodying the versatility of the esteemed guitarist John Jorgenson's signature model. Developed in partnership with Jorgenson, this dreadnought guitar is constructed with a solid spruce top and laminated Wonder rosewood back and sides, enabling the production of rich depth and power alongside a bright high end that enhances articulation and clarity. The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard ensure smooth playability across various musical genres. Equipped with the CT4B II preamp system, this instrument provides extensive sound-shaping capabilities, including parametric EQ, a chromatic tuner, and reverb. As an acoustic-electric guitar, the JJ325SRC delivers an amplified sound suitable for both performance and recording contexts.
