Bad Cat Mod Shop Custom Hot Cat 50 | 50-Watt 1x12" Tube Combo Guitar Amplifier - Vermillion Bronco Red | No Limit Guitar Co, Idaho Falls
The Bad Cat Mod Shop Hot Cat 50 is a handbuilt 50-watt EL34 tube combo that pairs two independent channels with four distinct voicings, from wide, glassy cleans to tight, high-gain British drive. A Baltic birch open-back cabinet, a Celestion Bad Cat custom 12" speaker, onboard reverb, and a buffered effects loop make it ready for real-world rigs, and the Vermillion Bronco Red finish makes it stand out on any stage. It suits gigging guitarists, studio players, and boutique amp fans who want responsive, pedal-friendly tone.
Product Overview
The Hot Cat 50 delivers classic EL34 authority with modern flexibility. Its two channels, clean and overdrive, each offer a low and a high voicing. Clean Low provides broad, glassy cleans with plenty of headroom, while Clean High adds a more forward, harmonically rich breakup in the spirit of cranked AC-style and JTM-style tones. On the drive channel, Gain Low covers classic British crunch with strong note definition, and Gain High adds another gain stage for a tighter, more aggressive response. A shared treble, middle, and bass EQ works with a redesigned presence circuit that adds clarity and cut without harshness, and a global master volume helps you manage stage or studio levels without losing feel. Onboard studio-quality reverb adds depth, and the buffered effects loop integrates cleanly with time-based and modulation pedals. The open-back Baltic birch cabinet and Celestion Bad Cat custom speaker project with width, clarity, and touch sensitivity, and the amp is handbuilt in Costa Mesa, California.
Ideal For
Gigging guitarists who want a powerful, flexible EL34 combo with simple pedal integration. Rock and blues players who want British-style crunch and glassy cleans from one amp. Studio artists who value a global master volume and a line out. Players searching for a 50-watt EL34 tube combo amp with two channels, four voicings, and reverb. Boutique amp fans who want an open-back, road-ready combo with a standout finish.
