Sadowsky MetroExpress 21-Fret Hybrid PJ Bass - Sage Green Metallic
Get two legendary bass voices in one instrument with the Sadowsky MetroExpress 21-Fret Hybrid PJ Bass, available at No Limit Guitar Co in Idaho Falls. Its P-style split-coil and J-style bridge pickup, powered by a Sadowsky active preamp, move easily from round, old-school thump to bright, cutting funk. With its eye-catching Sage Green Metallic finish, it’s a versatile, stage-ready bass for intermediate and professional players.
Product Overview
The okoume body brings a warm, mahogany-like low end with crisp definition up top, shaped in Sadowsky’s comfortable doublecut design. A high-polish Sage Green Metallic finish gives it a vintage-inspired look with modern shimmer. Chrome hardware ties the whole package together.
The neck is roasted maple in Sadowsky’s Standard profile, with a natural oil finish on the back that feels smooth and quick. A pau ferro (morado) fingerboard carries 21 nickel-silver frets on a flat 12" radius. The 1.5" nut width and 34" scale make it easy to move around the neck for long sets.
The neck-position P split-coil gives you thick, mix-friendly midrange, while the shielded J single-coil at the bridge adds snap and articulation. A blend knob lets you balance the two, and the 2-band Sadowsky preamp adds bass and treble boost. Sadowsky’s 20:1 tuners and quick-release bridge keep it in tune and easy to maintain.
Ideal For
- Bassists who switch between fingerstyle, pick, and slap and need one bass for all of it
- Session players who need classic P-bass and J-bass sounds from a single instrument
- Players upgrading to a pro-level PJ bass with active EQ for more tone control
- Musicians who want a standout finish that looks as good on stage as it sounds
- Bassists searching for a versatile PJ bass for rock, funk, and country
Key Features
Hybrid PJ Tone Palette
Solo the P pickup for punchy, old-school thump, or the J pickup for focused bite. Blend them together for a full-range sound that sits well in any mix.
Sadowsky Onboard Preamp
The 2-band active EQ adds low-end weight and top-end clarity without sounding artificial. It’s the same signature preamp that made Sadowsky basses a studio favorite.
Sadowsky Standard Neck Profile
The roasted maple neck stays stable and comfortable through changing seasons. A natural oil finish lets your hand glide without the stickiness of gloss.
Adjustable Tedur Just-A-Nut III
Fine-tune nut height with a simple screw adjustment. It’s an easy way to get lower action and better playability in the first few frets.
High-Ratio Tuners and Quick-Release Bridge
Sadowsky’s 20:1 tuners offer smooth, precise tuning control. The sturdy quick-release bridge helps sustain and speeds up string changes.
